Impromptu story writing

I am sure that a few readers are aware of Toastmasters, people who read part of a story, and make up the rest, spinning a story as they go in front of a group of people with no paper, just sheer words from the brain. It can be a very impressive and amusing performance.
There is another specie of this particular task, known as impromptu story writing, where one takes a single word, phrase, picture or beginning and  writes and finishes it under a time limit. It can be rather grueling depending on the subject or the object of the story.
I have decided to try some impromptu creative writing late at night. I have concluded that the quickest way to come up with some subjects I must add is to start with the season. Here are the subjects that I must base my story off of or at least add.
New Years, Santa Claus, and Christmas tree. Bingo! Now I know a few may not trust my word to staying under the time limit, but I simply find it a waste of good film to videotape myself scribbling a mass of words onto a sheet of paper. Therefore I leave it to the reader to decide.

          The time: five minutes.
Subject: New Years, Santa Claus, Christmas Tree.
Santa was loosing his eyesight a little bit, and managed to drop to large ski sets on two hapless victims in his crash collision course. He laughed across the valley and his reindeer groaned and turned their ears away. Sam and Will got up from the fake snow they had just created and dolefully felt the lumps growing on their forheads. Grabbing their newfound ski's they hurried inside, maybe just a wee bit wobbly. Unlike other children, Santa was always a week late, usually he found them just a day before newyears eve. strange, but nonetheless they got their gifts. This year though the ski's didn't last long, they broke going down the first big hill thanks to Santa's carelessness.
The next day Sam stroked the dying Christmas tree gingerly, feeling the dry crackling leaves. A ghoulish like grin appeared on his face and Will also shared the same facial expression.
Grinning like a bunch of young fools they hauled the Christmas tree out of it's berth and let it topple outside the door. Unlike many families they found a special use for their dry flammable fir tree. Dad walked out of the house and tested the branches, he gave the kids a thumbs up. The boys screamed with delight.
A New Year signifies the dying of the old one, and to finalize the ending of 2011 they planned to burn the christmas tree. On christmas eve at midnight, sneaking the huge tree down to a fire pit they covered it in gasoline standing up in fiery glory lighting it to the night sky.  the end.
Not the best of stories, but as you can see i ran out of time.

      Cheers!
and Happy New Years!
